A day at Titisee from Eisenbach
Pure Schwarzwald is in Eisenbach, not on the shore of Titisee. Choose between a short promenade visit and a longer walk around the lake. This guide brings together Deutsche Bahn's destination information and the official KONUS rules.
Getting from the apartment to the lake
Allow approximately 15 minutes by car from Eisenbach to Titisee as an orientation, not a live journey estimate. Traffic, finding parking and winter roads can add time. Aim for a signed visitor car park in Titisee rather than a vehicle entrance at the water's edge.
For public transport, look up your actual boarding stop in Eisenbach and Titisee Bahnhof in the official journey planner. Check both outward and return trips for your date. Regional journeys may involve changes; do not assume a direct bus or a fixed frequency.
Promenade or full lake circuit
Choose the promenade for a shorter visit. Deutsche Bahn describes a lake circuit of about 6 km if you want a longer walk. Allow for the whole circuit, breaks and travel; an out-and-back stroll along part of the lake is an alternative when time is limited.
Distance alone does not describe today's path conditions. Check the route and local notices, especially with a pushchair or mobility needs. A boat trip is a separate activity: confirm departure times, prices and weather restrictions with the operator.
Using KONUS correctly
The KONUS guest card is included in the tourist tax for your stay with us. During the dates printed on it, it covers buses and second-class regional trains within the KONUS area. ICE, IC, EC, ECE and mountain railways are excluded; sightseeing boat trips are not included in free local transport.
The card is valid only from arrival at your host, so do not rely on it for your initial journey to the apartment. Carry your card and valid identification, and check the fare boundary before travelling beyond the KONUS area.
Putting the day together
Check the weather and return transport in the morning, choose the promenade or full circuit, and leave time for a break. Shorten the outing if paths are icy, closed or exposed to thunderstorms. Be back for your planned departure rather than relying on an unchecked last service.
Back in Eisenbach, the 52 m² private guest suite has a kitchen and its own entrance. It sleeps 2–4 guests; fixed nightly rates are listed in the website's rates section. Daniel confirms availability personally.
